Its layout is professional and sleek--simply eye candy. I am so thrilled to see a collaborative work like this online in such a user-friendly, readable format.
If you pick up this carbon-neutral magazine, you'll be filled with inspiration for new projects--but you don't have to be an art doll creator (or even an art doll collector) to enjoy this publication. You'll be filled with new ideas on how to photograph your own dolls, or even think about your own creativity, after reading these pages. For artists of another medium--you'll be tempted to step out of your comfort zone and try a project or two.
I particularly appreciated the casual approach to the usually stand-offish photography article. It was written in a non-technical but very practical way--easy for an end-user like me, who likes to "plug it in and turn it on." I was also inspired to think very carefully about inspiration versus copying on your copycat article, as well. It applies heavily to the world of ball-jointed dolls, too. Additionally, the fun facts and questions to ask your contributors really put a personal and realistic face on these wonderful artists. Thank you!
