Jake Slaughter from Blessed Sacrament School in Morton won First Place for his story “Moe’s Big Shot” as part the First Grade Division of WTVP’s 2011 "PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest. The contest, designed to instill young children with a love of reading and writing, garnered 136 entries from communities as far-flung as Edwardsville and Lombard as well as throughout central Illinois.
