Easter remains the most important period in the Christian calendar, as it provides the central premise on which Christianity stands – the death and resurrection of Jesus. Without this integral fact, Christians would not enjoy salvation; the forgiveness of sins; new life in Christ, and God’s gift of eternal life. This edition of Keep The Faith celebrates the power of Easter, and how it impacts all areas of our lives. Pastor Doug Williams writes how the message of Easter can pull us out of the caves in our lives; Kim Bacchus shares how we can learn to overcome stress by looking at Jesus’ death on the cross, and Marlene Walters shows how the Easter message can give people hope, even in the midst of grief. This bumper edition also contains other interesting and inspirational articles. Keep The Faith is excited to be joining forces with Wisdom for Women International to organise the Wise Women Awards. Learn about this exciting event taking place on April 2 and the great Christian women who have been nominated for an award on page 9. We’ve got a news feature on Jose Henriques, one of the trapped Chilean miners who was in the UK recently, and an interview with Rev Nezlin Sterling, who talks about her role as a leading female minister. Rev David Shosanya gives us a double portion of his writing. He provides a considerate perspective on the troubles affecting prominent church leader, Rev Dr Odulele, and shares how Black people should show each other respect. Stephen Brooks writes on the need for church leaders to have godly vision, and Rev Arlington Trotman shares on why the Black church should be united. There are loads of great gems in this Easter issue. Check them out and be inspired.
