My first self-produced album. It's not professional by any means, but I did use sales from a few shows to partly fund a mission trip to China. The album mostly deals with the struggle with sin and trying to live faithfully to the calling God has placed on our lives. Its title track is "Middle Country", which is a prayer for China but is also a metaphor for the state of flux I often find myself in with regard to faith. Many of the songs come from lessons learned on trips, like "7 Pillars", which deals with finding the key to wisdom in the smallness I felt in a Jordanian desert.
