Duck , Bushy Park , see also http://tinyurl.com/6yyet2b This handsome specimen looks like a male Tufted Duck at first sight .It is slightly larger than the Tufted Duck , see http://tinyurl.com/6yrsvt6 for comparison. It is normally seen in the company of Tufted Ducks , though it seems perfectly happy in the company of Red Crested Pochards. Perhaps a cross between the two species ! The top of its head is chestnut brown. The rest of its head is dark green. You can see the delineation between the green of the head and the black of the breast.
