Publisher's Description

Dear Readers Churches, local communities and wider society will have an opportunity to celebrate the role of fathers and the important contribution they make on Father’s Day taking place on June 20. Keeping in line with the national mood, this month’s Keep The Faith includes a range of articles about fathers. We have interviewed Bishop Wilton Powell, who serves as a spiritual father to many in his role of National Overseer of the Church of God of Prophecy. He is also a key pioneer of social action in the community and has a CBE to show for it!!! Three Christians reflect on how their father’s have influenced their approach to life and faith in a special feature, whilst Rachel K Brown’s reminds saints and sinners alike that God is the best Father anyone could have. I also reflect on fathers in my Word of Faith column and suggest ways churches can encourage fathers to play a greater role in their children’s lives. There’s a whole host of other interesting articles lined up for you in this month’s magazine. Rev Wale Hudson-Roberts reflects on the role faith has played in the advancement of black people here in the UK, Rev David Shosanya looks at the gender divide in the church and what can be done to foster better relationships between men and women whilst Rev Stephen Brooks highlights the major growth black churches have experienced over the years, and argues that pastors must always give room for the Holy Spirit. There are also articles about how Christians can influence the political process, an interview with gospel singer Adelaide McKenzie, plus regulars Heart to Heart, Cyber Corner, Charity Affairs and much more. Happy reading. Marcia Dixon EDITOR – KEEP THE FAITH
